Review – Double Jeopardy by Linda Wisdom (#review, #bookreview)

Double JeopardyDouble Jeopardy by Linda Randall Wisdom

My rating: 4 of 5 gargoyles

This was a great book. I did guess who the ultimate villain was, but her reasoning wasn’t what I’d thought it was, so that was awesome.

First – I really REALLY enjoyed the fact that it was the hero that had a stalker, rather than it being the heroine as so often happens. He’s frustrated, getting a little uneasy as the stalker ramps up their obsession, and determined not to just ignore it/hope it goes away.

Ahh, Lauren. Moved to the middle of nowhere to get away from a bad reputation (completely undeserved, thanks to her jerk of an ex) and because she notices Josh, abruptly she’s in the cross-hairs of Josh’s stalker. Still, she doesn’t let that stop her and in fact she throws herself into helping him find the stalker (of course that’s because she doesn’t really want to die and wants Josh).

The romance between these two grows nicely and we have some angst over whether they SHOULD get involved because of the looming stalker issue.

The resolution was completely satisfactory for me and I was rooting for them all the way. The secondary cast of characters was nice and hopefully we’ll see more of them in future books from Ms. Wisdom.

Glad I read it. Four out of five gargoyles for me!
