Nine Years Married, One Year Published

Hey there, guys and gals! It’s been a while since I did just a “what’s going on with Tory” post. I’m sorry I’ve been neglecting you and just posting interviews and stuff. I’d love to engage in more dialogue with all of you!

Anyway, like the post said, as of today I’ve been married for nine years (okay, technically it was yesterday that we hit 9 years). The picture above is the day we got married. When I got back from lunch yesterday, I found these on my desk:

Nice thing to come back to, right? Yup, not only does he give me flowers, but he’s given me beautiful children. Here are two of them, from last Friday night out at Red Lobster:

Yes, I know, Sam’s out of focus, but she’s so hyper, it’s hard to get her to stand still long enough to take a picture of her. The arm along the table is the giver of all my beautiful children and flowers. And it’s almost impossible to get a picture of my boy when he’s concentrating on something and not hamming it up. I’d rather get natural shots of him, because he has the goofiest “fake” picture smile.

And now for the other part. As of today, I have been a published author for one year. This is the book that started it all (and in it’s original form, which only one person has actually read, was what got me writing again).

Then came this one:

And then finally, just a little over a month ago, my favorite of the series in so may ways:

I’ve decided to give my vamps a rest. They’re currently trying to figure out what they’re going to do about what happened at the end of Prophecy. So, instead, I’ve turned my focus to an all-new world/set of stories. Frighteningly enough, I’ve got a vague idea of the entire series! And the heroes/heroines of ALL THREE BOOKS already named along with a small portion of their backstory.

Most shockingly, given my love of the undead (as seen in the Dream-Walker War)…vampires in this new world are utterly evil, frightening and horrific creatures! Back to their roots, as it were! Holy crap, it’s awesome. I have a new breed of creatures in line to be my heroes and heroines.

We shall see.

So, for readers among my followers – whatcha reading (I won’t be offended if it’s not one of my books), and for the writers, what’re you currently working on?
