Here we are, on Sunday again. Release day (OMG it’s almost here!) is on Wednesday and I’ve got a huge case of the nerves. Eeeep. But that’s not why you’re here. You came by (I hope) for this week’s SSS entry.
Set-up: This is from Blood Dreams. I’m hopefully gonna get another WIP going here so I can stop treading over worn territory. 🙂 The dream-walker has invaded Chris’ dreams and has just offered her a deal. If she says yes, she’s safe. If she says no, he’s just sworn to bury her alive – her worst nightmare, given she nearly went insane after someone did it to her two centuries ago.
Still Ares pressed on, every word a growl that sank into her psyche. “I wouldn’t bother with more than a temporary disabling of your abilities either – no stakes to distract you from the predicament with pain. Every crack sealed, no possibility of escape. Darkness all around you. You would sense animal life, sustenance, just beyond the walls, like you did before. So very close, and yet completely inaccessible.”
All right, that’s it for this week. Please check out the Six Sentence Sunday website for all the other entrants. Also, while you’re there, check out the covers on the right-hand side. Blood Rage was one of the lucky ones chosen for February, woot!
One last thing. To celebrate Release Day, I will be giving away two copies of Blood Rage to those who like my Dream-Walker War series Facebook page. Hope you’ll stop by and like it while you’re out and about today! The drawing will take place Wednesday evening, so don’t delay!
